Privacy notice
Last updated: 25 October 2026 (draft)
Draft — this page is awaiting review by the founders and legal counsel and is not final.
This notice explains how Celova ("we", "us") handles personal data collected through this website. We have written it to be read, not skimmed past. It is prepared under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and is designed to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its Rules as their obligations come into force.
Who we are
Celova is a fertility care brand offering online consultations, with a centre planned in Bengaluru, India. For the purposes of data protection law, Celova is the "data fiduciary" for the personal data described here. Our registered legal entity details will be added here once finalised.
What we collect and why
| Data | Why we use it |
|---|---|
| Name, email address, optional phone number, preferred contact method | To respond to your enquiry using the method you chose. |
| The type of enquiry and any message you write | To understand and answer your question or request. |
| Your consent choices, with the date and the version of this notice | To keep a record of what you agreed to. |
| The page you came from and campaign tags in the link (if any) | To understand, in aggregate, how people find Celova. |
We rely on your consent, which you give with the checkbox on our contact form. Updates about Celova are sent only if you tick the separate, optional updates box.
Please do not send us medical information through the website. Our contact form is not designed for health records, and we do not provide medical advice through it.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your personal data.
- We do not use advertising pixels, session-recording tools or third-party advertising cookies on this website. Analytics runs only if you allow it (see Cookies and analytics below).
- We do not share your enquiry with anyone outside Celova except the service providers who help us run the website, as described below.
Cookies and analytics
Necessary cookies are always on, because the site needs them to work: a session cookie, a security token that protects forms from misuse, a cookie that remembers your light or dark display preference, and a cookie that remembers your analytics choice.
Analytics cookies are off unless you allow them. If you do, we use third-party analytics services to understand how the website is used: which pages are visited, how long people stay, which buttons or links they click, how they arrive (for example from a search engine or an ad), the type of device and browser, and any errors the website runs into on your device. These services receive your IP address, which we use to work out an approximate location (country or city) and to tell our own and automated traffic apart from real visitors.
We use this only to improve the website and to see which of our campaigns work. We never send these services your name, contact details, the content of a form, or anything about your health; the text of what you click is hidden, nothing you type is collected, and we do not record your screen or your visit. Analytics never runs on our admin or doctor areas.
These services act as our service providers ("data processors"): they may use the data only on our instructions and not for their own advertising. They may store and process it outside India, including in the European Union and the United States. On request, we will tell you which providers we use at that time.
You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing removes the analytics cookies from your browser and stops further collection. We do not use advertising cookies.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as "No, thanks" and do not ask again; you can still allow analytics in Cookie settings. To show that we asked, we keep a record of each choice: a random ID stored in your browser, the date, your choice and the version of this notice. It does not include your name or IP address, and we delete it after two years.
Who processes your data for us
We use service providers ("data processors") to host this website and its database and to deliver email notifications to our team. They may process your data only on our instructions. The current list of providers and where they store data will be published here before launch.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to 12 months after they are closed (or after they were received, if left open), and then delete them automatically, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.
Your rights
You can exercise the following rights now, and they will be backed by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 as its provisions take effect. You can:
- ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- ask us to correct, complete, update or erase your personal data;
- withdraw your consent at any time — as easily as you gave it — which will not affect anything we did before you withdrew;
- nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become incapable;
- raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer and, once the relevant provisions are in force, complain to the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied with our response.
Contact and Grievance Officer
To exercise any of these rights or raise a concern, contact us at care@celova.in. The name and contact details of our Grievance Officer will be published here before launch.
Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18, and the enquiry and consultation forms ask you to confirm you are 18 or over. If you are under 18, please choose "No, thanks" when asked about analytics.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), restrict access to enquiries to authorised Celova team members with strong authentication, and keep only the data we need. If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify affected people and the authorities as the law requires.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we use your data, we will update this notice and its date. Where a change needs fresh consent, we will ask for it.
